Bringing digital colleagues closer together

During live broadcasts, we enable thousands of colleagues to come together at one moment to initiate dialogue and inspire positive change.

Royal HaskoningDHV

Over the past eighteen months, we have faced the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in a global lack of physical contact. The necessary measures to limit the spread of the virus, such as social distancing and lockdowns, have compelled us to relinquish our usual forms of physical interaction. Royal HaskoningDHV was faced with the challenge of sharing experiences with 6000 colleagues spread across the globe.

The lack of physical proximity resulted in a sense of detachment within the team. As a solution, livestreams were deployed to bring thousands of colleagues together simultaneously. This facilitated dialogue and digitally brought employees closer to each other.

An essential requirement for connectivity is that people feel seen and heard. Interaction plays a crucial role in this. Colleagues want to voice their opinions and participate in every broadcast. This leads to valuable interactions and lively dialogues. In a digital setting, you can't get much closer than that.

The motto "Enhancing Society Together" forms the common thread in the livestreams. Everyone within the organization commits to this brand promise. During the livestreams, colleagues from different parts of the world share with each other what this motto means to them. In addition to the live broadcasts, videos recorded by colleagues themselves are also shown. We then edited these videos into the livestream, making it a broadcast by and for everyone, while maintaining quality.

These livestreams have not only contributed to fostering a sense of belonging but also to strengthening the company culture and sharing experiences and insights. They have provided a platform for exchanging ideas and promoting collaboration across the entire organization. Through interactive livestreams, Royal HaskoningDHV has bridged the distance between colleagues and created a strong and engaged community, despite the physical distance.
