The importance of an effective instructional video
On the workplace, incidents such as fires can never be completely ruled out. That's why it is essential that everyone knows how to act when an unforeseen situation arises. Therefore, when it comes to safety in the work environment, it is necessary to train employees. But how do you approach this when you have diverse nationalities speaking different languages and varying levels of education? This was a question posed by one of our clients.
Instructional videos
In this case, animation is a solution to convey the message clearly and effectively solely through visuals. We opted for a simple animation style and used as universal imagery and iconography as possible to convey the message as effectively as possible without text.
Although the video may appear simple, creating this instructional video requires thorough research into what works and what doesn't. Together with the company's safety experts, we mapped out the message clearly, identified what resonates with the target audience, and what motivates them to take action. It evokes emotions!
In this instructional video, we focus on what truly matters.
The scenes are short and impactful, supported by appropriate music and functional sounds. After each sequence, the essence of the instruction is reiterated.
Through this approach, we can create a series of safety instructions that use the same visuals and can also be utilized in other ways, such as posters, banners, and intranet. This significantly enhances the impact of the message. In this way, we have created an effective set of instructions that enable employees to be quickly and effectively trained in implementing safety measures.
In conclusion, animation provides a powerful and effective way to convey safety instructions, regardless of language barriers and educational levels. By visualizing and reinforcing the message through various communication channels, we ensure that employees can act quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
